We, the grade 11s, gathered in the Shaw Centre yesterday and discussed the qualities of a good leader in preparation for Ski Week. At Ski Week at Manning Park, the grade 11s take charge in evening activities such as the Winter Carnival, and my favorite, the polar coaster. We broke up into small groups to share our thoughts before coming together and presenting our resolutions to the entire group. In our groups, we selected three qualities that we would like to best exemplify the grade 11 leadership during Ski Week; we picked attentiveness, empathy and stewardship. We also talked about leaders like Obama and their potential to impact nations around the world, and how we can on a smaller scale impact our own community for the better. We look forward to Ski Week!
