My Days at Shawnigan
My time at Shawinigan has been short so far, but the memories and the fun times that I have already had will last me a lifetime. The first thing that I saw when I came to the School to drop my brothers off in 2007 were the huge gates! And since I was only nine at the time, I was already scared. But, once I got out of the car and met everyone, I felt right at home (until I had to leave a few hours later and my brothers got to stay!). There was some kind of magic in the air every time I came to Shawnigan.
On the first day of the new school year, when I was finally a student myself, I was more than excited to be back at a place where magic never seemed to end. Plus, once I met the people in my new house and friends, I seemed to fit right in, just like that last piece of the puzzle that always gets lost. I was the missing piece of the puzzle! After the first week, my friends and I had already had a large number of inside jokes, and we acted as if we were long-time friends. One of the best things about my friends was that even when I was homesick or just needed a hug, they were there for me like a second family. The people here care about you and want you to succeed in everything that you do, big or small. At Shawnigan, everyone has the power to succeed, and everyone uses that power, because the people here believe in you. And that is all you need to succeed!
