Monster Erg—This past weekend, the rowers kicked off their racing season with a trip to Victoria to compete at Monster Erg. The athletes competed in a head to head very grueling race of 2000m. We started the day with the coxswains' crawl, our little ones have learned a thing or two from their crews with Carina L. placing first. The senior girls have a smaller team this year but that did not hold them back with 6 girls in the top 15. The senior boys showed they are ready to compete as they swept the podium! Most of the juniors are novice but you would not have known that as they raced with aggression and confidence proving to be a strong team this year. Claire O. and Jordan B. cracked the top ten, an impressive result for these two novices. We all look forward to our regatta held here at the school on February 14th and 15th.
