Nanaimo2Victoria

Nanaimo2Victoria is a one-day cycling trip from Nanaimo, BC to Victoria, BC to raise awarness and funds for cancer research through the Canadian Cancer Society. 100% of the money raised by Nanaimo2Victoria goes directly to research programs funded by the Canadian Cancer Society. The ride is 145 + kms for those who do the Nanaimo 2 Victoria leg and 270 + kms for those who do Victoria 2 Nanaimo and back down.

On September 12, Shawnigan Lake School provided cyclists transportation to the start of their trek and Ian Ritchie, a member of the Saanich Police and alum from the Tour de Rock, drove the bus. Sharlene Quinn, Shawnigan Transportation Manager, approached the Headmaster who kindly donated the bus just prior to the ride. This generosity made up a huge donation to the $25,000.00 + that we raised.
