ISA Tennis

The Jr. ‘A’ Tennis Team competed in the boys and girls ISA Championship at Brentwood College on Saturday. There were notable wins by the doubles pair of Cassandra and Georgia on the girls’ side leading to a silver medal for the girls’ team. On the boys’ side there were notable wins by the doubles pair of Alex and Ryan leading to a bronze medal for the boys’ team. Well done to all players.

Shawnigan Senior Tennis had a great day at the ISA championship held at Brentwood. There were two separate competitions, and at 5:30pm, both the boys and the girls were in contention for silver medals. The boys were successful in their bid and finished silver medallists. Unfortunately, the girls lost a very close tie breaker 7-5, which placed them tied for second; but, as a result of the scoring system, finished fourth .

All players represented both themselves and our school with class. Congratulations to all players. A special thank you to Mr. Housser for coming to support.
