Qualifying Jump
Although Shawnigan no longer has a Track and Field team, the School does occasionally send some of our stronger athletes to provincial track competitions.
Last week one of our grade 11 boys, Milan V., participating in the Island finals at Centennial Stadium, qualified for the Provincials in the Boys Open High Jump. Milan soared over the 180cm bar to tie for 2nd place. This earns him a spot at the Provincial Championships June 4th and 5th at Swangard Stadium in Burnaby.
